DESCRIPTION: Tall clock attributed to Isaac Brokaw, Bridgetown & Elizabethtown, New Jersey. 8 days, time and strike, on bell, weight driven brass movement in a mahogany veneer case with high arch top, barley twist full columns flanking hood and barley twist and cross hatched 3/4 columns flanking trunk on a base with finely shaped skirt and straight feet. The American made painted metal dial has calendar date aperture, Arabic numerals and subsidiary and fruit motif, c1825
CONDITION: the case retains an old finish in good condition and the top right finial will need to be reattached. There is a small glue repair to right return hood molding. There is an age split repair to crotch mahogany veneer on base. The dial is in very good condition with minor inpaint below calendar aperture.
